Update from Specialist, 11-23-10

We went to the specialist early this morning and left with wonderful news!!  The doctor was not able to find any placental tears!!  I had prepared myself for the worst, so this was heaven on my ears!!!

Baby Carter is measuring big and seems very healthy.  We were able to see all organs and body parts with the high definition ultrasound performed this morning.  We were even given a DVD of the entire ultrasound!

I have a doctor’s appointment in 2 weeks and another appointment with the specialist in 3 weeks, to make sure everything has remained healthy and tear-free.

I am still on bed rest and I’ve continued to experience some bleeding.  The doctor thinks my placenta was closer to my cervix earlier in the gestational period, and that could have been the culprit to the bleeding.  It was not a placenta previa, for those wondering.

If the doctor is right, my bleeding should subside by next week.  Only rest and time will tell, but it’s all looking positive!!!

I took a couple of bump pictures before my appointment, but I left my camera in Mom’s car.  I’ll try and post them tomorrow. 🙂

P.S.  I still feel like doing cartwheels and jumping for joy!!! 🙂 We were ALL SMILES when leaving the doctor’s office this morning!!
